5 Things you should know before you buy CBD Oil products

Is It Safe and Pure?

1

Where is the hemp grown?

Where was the hemp the company uses for their products grown?

This may not seem like an important question, but it most certainly is! Companies should have no problem at all telling you where the hemp they use comes from, right down to the very location of the farm that grows it. If they cannot, it is probably because they are using third party wholesalers, and either do not know where it is grown or do not want to tell you where it was grown.

This is important to know because hemp acts like a filter to the ground. If it is planted in contaminated soil, it will yield contaminated hemp, and contaminating oil. Does the farm use pesticides? Was it grown in the great land of the United States? Transparency is crucial.

Quality Ingredients

Is the company using safe and quality ingredients?

What ingredients are being used in the product? Check the label and make sure you truly understand what you are putting into your body and relying on to benefit your health.

Does the product contain organic and natural ingredients? Is the company using things like Vegetable Glycerin or Propylene Glycol? If they are advertising terpenes check and see if the product truly has them. Make sure the product does not contain any artificial sweeteners or preservatives. Are there additional herbs, botanicals, or other types of supplements being used? Do you know what they are and are you comfortable using them?

3

Extraction Method

How is the company extracting the CBD Oil?

It is important to know how the CBD Oil was actually extracted from the hemp plant. There are several ways this can be done, but environmentally friendly C02 extraction is the best, safest, and cleanest way to ensure you are left with a pure, clean, and safe CBD extract.

If the company does not tell you how the oil was extracted or does not know, this is a red flag. Using other types of extraction methods may leave behind harmful chemical residues that will end up being a part of the final product (which is shipped to you).

4

Accountability

Does the company hold themselves and their products accountable? Are you certain real live human beings work there?

You should be wary of companies that do not stand by their products. Make sure the company provides a real phone number and a real person you can talk to. Recordings don't count. We recommend you try and reach any company you are buying from before purchasing to ensure transparency and accountability.

You care about your health. Do they?

5

Is it Safe and Pure?

How do you know the products are safe to use and contain what they claim to contain?

Companies should provide complete transparency. It should not be difficult to double check on a product's ingredients. Make sure the company has easily accessible test results posted with its products. There is no reason the company should not unless it is trying to hide something

Ensure these test results are from independent third-party laboratories (we have seen companies use their own labs for their test results). Make sure the lab is ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited.

There should be no pesticides, residual solvents, bacteria and fungus, foreign matter, or heavy metals.
